We begin by making them feel awful, we induce lots of mental pain, we get them sad, and then, when they’re broken, we pick them back up again by showing them the perfect solution to get out of this pain.

#2 YouTube Ad Script Template: “Expertise Proof”

The best way to convince someone that you can help them is not by telling them that you can help them, but by actually helping them.

So in your ad, don’t just talk about how great you are at fixing the problem or achieving the outcome; prove it by helping them with the first few steps directly in the ad itself. And at the end of the ad, pitch that you’ll help them with the rest of the steps if they click the ad.

While other advertisers just talk marketing fluff, you’re actually helping the viewer to get into motion, take action, and conquer the first few steps of the process/journey.

This is an absolute classic. With this type of ad, you promise to show, prove, fix, or help with something in 60 seconds. The full ad can be longer, but the thing you promised should be within those 60 seconds. 

The ad should be fast-paced, right to the chase, and somewhat action-packed to hold the viewers' attention as much as possible. 

These ads are great to differentiate yourself from the long-drawn-out, boring ads everyone hates.

  • Offer, Proof, Call-to-action

With this ad script, you’re creating a big gap between their dream outcome and the situation they’re in right now. And then, after the big gap has been created, and after the viewer has been convinced that they can’t cross that gap on their own, you position yourself or your offer as the bridge over that gap.

You’re basically saying they’re far away from their goal and totally on the wrong track. The only way to reach the desired outcome is by having/using a certain thing, and the only one who has this certain thing is you.

With this type of ad script, you think of all the big objections the viewer could possibly have about your offer and then handle them directly in your ad. 

Because the sooner you get all objections out of the way, the less resistance there will be down the line in your funnel/sales process.

This isn’t really a full ad script, but rather a way to reuse or spice up existing ad scripts you’ve got. 

Maybe you’ve got an ad that has been performing great in the past but has recently started slowing down a bit. You then take that ad script and tie in current events or relevant trends into the hook.

This way, you can spice up an old ad and make it seem fresh and brand new again.

With this type of ad, the founder of the business tells his personal story about who he is, what led him to build the product, the process of how he developed it, how it solved his own problem, how it improved his own situation, and how it compares to other solutions. 

The goal is to create sympathy for the brand and connect with the viewer on a personal level. Humans like other humans. They don’t like hollow, salesy-looking corporate ads. That’s why these types of ads can work really well. They feel personal, genuine, and real.
